What to do when your car parts start wearing out

Wear and tear rarely happens suddenly — your car always gives you a warning in advance. Squeaking brakes, a clunking sound from the suspension over bumps, and steering wheel vibration — these are all signs that you should have checked within a week, rather than a month.

Why it’s cheaper to respond straight away

Replacing a worn part straight away costs less than repairing it once it has caused damage to neighbouring components. For example, worn brake pads damage the brake discs, whilst a worn stabiliser bar bushing can damage the entire suspension assembly.
